people who cheat on tests and papers shouldn’t pass the class because they’re not memorizing or interacting with the material in a way that’s called for to receive the grade. everyone knows it’s easier to cheat, but should you really be in college if you’re not willing to do the work required by it. at that point, just get a job

That’s not true for all classes. It depends on the major and professor. Some require only access codes which there is no other option. There is no “used” or free option. I’ve got textbooks from the library and taken pictures of it when I could for reading, so I didn’t have to buy it. Don’t assume you know everything, each school is different. Trust me, if I didn’t have to spend money on textbooks I wouldn’t. If you don’t have cash you are pretty well versed in saving it.

I don’t remember the details, but the book might have actually been written by my professor, and was sold at the campus bookstore and a bookstore across the street. Not sure if it was mainstream enough to have a bootleg version online.
