
Like companies are pour trillions into ai model development and making slop generation incredibly easy and accessible BECAUSE it is profitable. If it’s suddenly illegal to profit directly off of ai, then only locally ran open-source models will still be around and continue development (maybe), and they’re all a lot more complicated to set up, and expensive to run. So mostly only professionals would still use it for small things like creating background assets or textures and stuff
i do but that's something you'd have to take up with the courts. copyright is rather broad, fair use is rather limited, and it's not my call. i just know that we largely create these prohibitive laws when some sort of harm can be demonstrated, meaning you'd have to argue that there really is no harm, which i doubt you could do
