I think the line between intentionally enabling a murderer and being an innocent victim who was manipulated and never saw it coming is a lot blurrier than people want to admit. It's a huge moral failure to not act when you see the warning signs, but it's also one that most people are susceptible to when their partner or family is involved.
Yeah but she was being treated for psychosis and went into in patient treatment and was open about how she was struggling and hearing voices. To me, you’d think that if your wife said she was hearing voices tell her to hurt herself and your children, you’d take that very seriously and remove the kids from the situation. You take extra safety precautions to keep your children safe, and he was negligent. Her actions need to be punished and her husband is not blameless
Plenty of people with harm ocd and schizophrenia go through life daily ignoring the voices and impulses/intrusive thoughts. The fact you are victim blaming her husband is crazy. Especially since she clearly wasnt cause she was smart enough to send him out the house before her cleaning spree that she rushed to do thus resulting in her own botched suicide.
No you’re so right. Bc if it was only her, I would understand, but they lived together in apartment. He KNEW she was going crazy, if you live with a person abusing your kids you fuckin know. Not saying she abused them, but people are charged all the time with negligence in these situations. He’s not free from negligence bc she killed them. Not only that, but he was the one taking her to the many psychiatric appointments and getting her on all those meds bc he was an idiot.
