The difference is control and consent. When we do this for ourselves it’s because it was OUR CHOICE. when it’s done TO us, it’s unwanted. Same goes for dressing, just because it might attract attention doesn’t mean we want or accept it. You have no right
If you post mostly thirst traps and sexualize yourself then you can be mad when men make sexual comments on your content. And when you dress specifically for the male eye, you can’t be mad when they give you attention.

Hot take: no one should sexualize themselves period for anyone, including for themselves. People aren’t just sex objects, so they shouldn’t treat anyone that way, especially and including themselves

The thing is I don’t “dress specifically for the male eye”. I wear a cute top that happens to show skin because I like it, not because I want people to sexualize me. If y’all genuinely can’t handle seeing skin without acting normal ur cooked.

I’m the OP poster. Most people I know who do it have said they WANTED attention. Posting thirst traps in underwear or even completely nude with come object covering. They aren’t just showing SOME skin. Captions like “come and get it” but get mad when they get comments

A genuine thirst trap or saying something sexual is a little bit different than just wearing something skimpy, but still they’re talking about their own body. It’s weird for another person to comment on it, like r y’all that desperate ur gonna publicly thirst over someone on the internet 💀

Even if they do that, it’s still completely controlled by them what is going out and what is said. When it’s at the control of others, that’s when it gets frustrating

Also (as I said on the OG post) these people get pressed over being called gorgeous.

I didn’t read ur comments but obviously calling someone gorgeous is different than making sexual comments, which is what it said in the post

I know, but I was just saying that the same people still get pressed about being called gorgeous. Same people who I’ve DD for parties and they will grind on guys all night but are appalled when they asked for a number like???
