My take is that it’s a green flag to have girl friends. But I generally want my partner to be a best friend as well, so I would hope that I’m their “girl best friend”.

Having a girl best friend is my idea of loyalty and trust. It’s very easy to tell if he has a crush on, or thinks about her, at least to me. So if I see my bf having stronger feelings about his girl best friend, I can just dump him. It’s easier to spot his loyalty with a girl best friend Anyways.
