I mean, communism is amazing on paper, a utopia even, but just can’t exist the way classical Marxist theory describes when it exists within a wider capitalistic world. We would need a global communist government with full cooperation between regions for it to work, and that seems like a pipe dream given the entirety of human history so far. Democratic Socialism, while also not perfect, is a major step in the right direction compared to capitalism, though.
