Situations because it's what the audience is assumed to be able to consume! And in turn, she seems like a worse avatar than Aang because of the imbalance in themes. It's kinda like comparing the impact of kids watching Caillou vs SpongeBob. Caillou is a low sensory show meant for younger kids while SpongeBob is a high energy slapstick meant for middle schoolers. Of course SpongeBob is gonna seem worse for kids when you compare it to a show like Caillou!
At the end of the day, people need to stop comparing Korra to Aang because every avatar has been put into a time where they struggle. Also don't y'all dare act like Korra is a monster for what happens in 7 Heavens because EVERY avatar passed bad shit onto the next avatar. Yangchen neglected the spirits which is what eventually killed Kuruk. Kuruk left behind a political nightmare for Kyoshi. Kyoshi honestly didn't leave much shit for roku since the Dai Li mostly do a 180 after roku's death
And then Roku literally had the power to stop the 100 year war before it even started. And Aang? Again, a political nightmare along with an advancing world that thought they didn't need an avatar anymore. That's just what happens when you're the avatar, you fix what you can and unfortunately leave some loose ends because at the end of the day they're a human with the burden of holding the world on their shoulders.
