I do think saying “i have so many good men in your life” discredits you a bit. 1. Many people do not have good men in their lives and 2. Much of the hate comes from real statistics such as human trafficking and having inappropriate child material. To say it’s just bad people ignores the obvious which is the majority of these crimes are by men which gives major information on how we need to proceed with educating women and men.

When people experience repeated negative experiences, some can respond by becoming more extreme in their beliefs. And this happens on both sides of gender issues. Extreme voices are also the loudest and most visible, which can make them seem more apparent than they actually are. Tbh I see it as the two extremes fighting each other thinking that they are the only two groups that exist and no middle ground. (Incels vs misandrists)

This sounds like a justification or expression a racist would use. Especially since yes, there’s a pattern when it comes to crime-statistically you’re more likely to be harmed or mugged by a man. But not all are the same + it’s not like it’s biological or solely a male thing. Race can absolutely be synonymous in this context. There can be patterns but to generalize a whole group? idk…

Yeah but unlike racism and misogyny, there is a reason the hate started. Now you and the others can keep comparing this systemic racism or we can have the good men hold the bad men accountable to help reduce the hate.

They are both pre conceived notions about someone based on some social category. My point being that saying “ not all black people but enough black people” is totally racist, but saying “not all men but enough men” is not sexist?

No one says “not all black people but enough black people” and anyone that does is racist. “Not all men but enough men” just means that we, as women understand that it is not all men, however, it is enough men that we feel the need to be cautious around all men. Sometimes a spade is just a spade and trying to make it more than it is only minimizing the issue.

Blacks at 13% of population account for 56% of all crime (and if u just want to focus on violent crime it’s 58%). Is that enough for me to say u know I’d rather not be around those ppl. U know we can have our schools and our shops and our side of town and yall can have yalls. Life used to be that way and it was better for both groups. Only the extremely wealthy benefited while everyone else now has to suffer with the awful effects. So how’s that racist and not common sense?

it’s not about race, but we can go there! 57% of convicted rapists are white men. 50% of serial killers are also white men. it’s just men ffs. wasn’t expecting casual racism on a friday afternoon🥸
