Getting mad at your partner for wanting a DNA test is outright selfish and egotistical, it costs you NOTHING to give them that and if you think otherwise you’re just the problem

DNA tests are just a good way to make sure your kid didn’t get mixed up at the hospital nowadays but moms with the “mindset” of leaving after the test is performed typically have harassment or emotional abuse going on behind the scenes, usually because was demanding the test because they are convinced their partner cheated. Most relationships can’t survive an accusation like that.

women who get upset about a man wanting a dna test are the type to let a man unknowingly raise a child they know is not his. it takes nothing from you to give that man peace of mind.

And for those with the mindset “I’ll give him the test but I’ll leave after” you’re literally just insufferable and raising a child in a split home just because your pride ego got hurt is mind numbing.

Something from that experience that I say that most women dont understand till I say it is. You guys will NEVER have a doubt about a baby being yours, but I can be so invested, all in and then boom I no longer have a kid and the love I was pouring into someone now that someone is gone. And you'll never understand that feeling and betrayal. So if you really love your man, if he wants it, why not do it.

You still have a kid if that’s a kid you helped raised, they’re basically just adopted. But that is a betrayal from your wife though. I agree that if a DNA test is just a piece of mind thing but #1 said it best. I know a woman whose husband was insanely jealous to the point of it being emotionally abusive. There was no conceivable way she could’ve or would’ve cheated but he basically bullied her into a DNA test bc he was so paranoid. Obviously the baby was his and she left him soon after.

I’m a guy but if someone asked me to do a DNA test I’d be more than a little offended bc the implication is that my partner thought I cheated.

It’s better to bring the discussion of a DNA test up way before you guys have a child to avoid the accusation assumption

Yeah that’s a way healthier way to have that conversation. I’m not even disagreeing with your post, necessarily. But the situation I mentioned isn’t a different scenario because stuff like that does happen and more than you’d think — DNA tests can be easily used as an abusive tool

Nah bc this is just self respect. It implies that you think your partner was unfaithful. And at that point, you shouldn’t be together. What’s any relationship without trust? A waste of everyone’s time

A better question is why tf are yall so opposed to paternity blood test if you know wholeheartedly that the kid is the child of who you say it is.
