The rise of teacher influences is ruining education. Don't get me wrong, I love when teachers post showing us what happens beyond the classroom and advocates for their peers and students, but why am I seeing students in their videos? I'd be kicked out-

Of my program if I posted my students from my clinicals. Which is fair because they're children and shouldn't be posted online without parental consent! But why do some teachers get away with it? And as someone who's had to teach a lesson over only a few days, how tf do they have time to set up their phone and record videos IN CLASS??? Yeah downtime is fine but why is there so much content from during classes? I hate saying this because teachers are people and need to stop being treated like-

i disagree with the idea that it's ruining education. it's symptomatic of education being ruined in other ways. it's not causal

Nuns on their off time but this is happening while they're actively teaching. And they're posting it, encouraging my peers to do the same as we prepare to become teachers.

I mean there are so many other foctors causing the downfall of education. Parents who aren't engaged in their children's learning, unsupportive admin, and some of the professors teaching the next generation of teachers just straight up suck. But using your time in the classroom to be an influencer definitely is a growing issue.
