Nope, at a certain point of extremity withdrawal is literally impossible to recover from let alone resist. People die from withdrawal symptoms but you think “just power through” because you’re an idiot who has no clue what they’re talking about. You don’t have any reason to believe what you’re saying you’re just saying it because you believe in nonsense like libertarians do.
“Self control” yeah you really are idiot of the week. Heroin, cocaine, meth, painkillers and many more are literally known to override a person’s psyche and ability to control their decisions. You’re an idiot because you’re speaking on a subject of which you clearly have 0 prior knowledge, while constantly making your ignorance obvious. Maybe study a subject before speaking.
Obviously drugs are addicting and are hard to come off of, but I think you might underestimate how secure pharmaceuticals are. Someone couldn’t just start abusing drugs in there without anyone noticing. Every single pill is counted, they can’t just steal and keep their job. Secondly, assuming I have 0 prior knowledge to addiction is baffling. You don’t know me or what I’ve struggled with. I’m speaking from experience when I say it takes real self control to not use, that is fact, not opinion.
Just to double back here real quick, pharmacies drug test. You couldn’t be consistently using those substances enough to get addicted and get a job at a pharmacy. You believe any meth head can get a job in a pharmacy yet IM the uneducated one here?! Go back to school buddy, you clearly need it.
This take has nothing to do with the fact that drug users being pharmacist, is dangerous. The initial post literally says ANY drug. I’m glad you got sober or kicked whatever you were on, but if it’s not equivalent to what I mentioned, then you’re lowballing the addictive nature of the substance and highballing this “self control” bs you’re addicted to. Do you want to see a peer reviewed study proving me right? Like your point is an idea, it’s not reflective of reality at all outside of anecdotes
I am not OP, I have NEVER said that jobs shouldn’t drug test. I’m not sure how you misread that but I’ll move on from your little mishap. If you think self control is not necessary to get over addiction then I cannot continue this conversation. You need strong discipline to stop taking ANY drug, regardless of potency. Like I said, that is fact not opinion. I’d LOVE to see whatever study you found trying to claim Self Control and Discipline are not necessary when trying to quit substances.
Also, since you seem to believe my point is “an idea not reflecting reality”, please state your opinion so we can compare who isn’t living in reality. Secondly, you keep trying to insult my intelligence but all that does is reflect poorly on your intelligence. And your “insults” are so unoriginal. At least use better insults and stop stealing the same overused phrases from the internet.
