I think it depends on the individual case. Some parents are so evil they inflict lifelong psychological damage to their kids

And some parents can manipulate their kids into financial abuse where they’re trapped into some legal document and struggling to get out of it. I’ve seen that happen first hand. Sometimes these things are messier than you think and it takes the child some time to recover from
