Yes, veterans may be aware of the fireworks, but when it’s dark and they’re half asleep and the noises are right outside their house, it can be triggering and/or uncomfortable. It doesn’t matter that you acknowledge the noises aren’t gunfire or coming from something or someone who won’t hurt you, PTSD isn’t exactly something that can be reasoned. It’s not a good holiday if it triggers people, so please be considerate.✌️

It’s the same concept for YouTube and instagram and yikyak, they all have rules you have to follow to be on the platform. Same applies to private schools. Same applies to having a job. Freedom of speech is with the government. Not with institutions or companies.
