Love when ppl with social anxiety act like other ppl are bad for simply speaking 😂 also literally don’t work customer service jobs if u don’t wanna speak to people it’s literally in the description

I feel like there’s a balance of acceptable pleasantries and being annoying. Asking how your day is should be fine but backhanded comments like you look tired or don’t work too hard are annoying when you get them from every 3rd person. I totally get where OP is coming from

I’ve been spat on twice, had a cane thrown at me and a death threat. I’m a receptionist. We’re allowed to be annoyed with people bc sometimes those comments aren’t necessary or funny. People are allowed to complain too so since you’re so happy, move along so we can have our pity party

Very hard when it’s 6am and I’m being urged to quickly to make coffee while I’m putting in an order, and also expected to answer “Did you have fun driving to work today?” When we had a blizzard that morning (real story btw)

I think you need it more bc “actuary” is a profession. The word you’re looking for is “actual” which describes things happening in reality.

so im also a barista, depending on where you work the company will always value customer service over speed. the more often you and your coworkers make those connections the more patient the other customers will be. there's A LOT to be mad about as a barista, but frankly i think interacting with customers is apart of the job and if you don't wanna do that you should get another job
