Feel like it’s also the fact that the children were truly innocent. Meanwhile Kirk died from a system he very much supported. People are not inclined to extend the same amount of empathy to someone who publicly stated he saw no need for such an emotion, who mocked empathy and argued that a few lives were a good trade for how the second amendment has played out. It is one thing to be saddened by a bird that’s had its wings cut, it’s another to pity a snake that bit itself knowing the risks.

except one is innocent children being starved by a genicidal goverment with the backing of the largest military in the history of the world and one of the largest economic forces in history. the other is charlie kirk the alt right propagandist who spent plenty of time and money making sure those children die horrible deaths

Physically? No. However, his entire career was built on spreading propaganda to harm minority groups. He has said multiple times that he believed all those children in Gaza should die.

Exactly. And either way, gun violence is bad, but CHARLIE KIRK DID NOT BELIEVE THAT GUN VIOLENCE WAS BAD. So how are we expected to sit here and defend him from what he believed in?
