I guess we should all fit in our own stupid little box and never entertain having any whimsy or complexity to our personality

It doesn’t bother me if a guy wants to be feminine or if a girl wants to take a masculine role (as long as she doesn’t confuse masculinity with asshole behavior like some do). But when it comes to attraction I’m definitely exclusively into feminine women

Men holding the door for women is a traditional thing whether you do it or not Dont be willfully ignorant

Have to disagree it is really a common courtesy and proper manners. I’m attracted to femininity in men and masculinity in women so I guess I missed your point all together OP.

I’m not sure you’ve ever been on a date but getting told by the dad to hold the door open among other things is pretty normal so I think you missed the point

I’m not sure that traditionalism necessarily implies homophobia, but there’s definitely a big portion of the population where they overlap

I’ve definitely missed the point then, yes. You don’t get the door on a date because it’s manly… You get it because you want to be as nice as possible, and give whoever you’re on a date with a good experience. If you want us to get what you actually mean you might need a different example

Ok idk if ur trying to be obtuse but who is getting the door on these dates? Guys. This is obvious reality and shouldn’t have to be explained

I’m not sure that “guys typically do it” makes it masculine, but we also clearly have different understandings of what masculinity means, so that’s understandable. Could you try a second example of what you mean, maybe from the feminine side? I don’t think this one is going anywhere, since chivalry/traditionalism is kind of separate in most people’s eyes

Most guys are considering that’s just Biology for men to be attracted to feminine women

OP, I don’t say this out of pure ideology and selfishness. All of us have both feminine and masculine traits, including yourself! If someone took issue with you, and said you weren’t acting the way a man or woman is supposed to, I’d think that’s fucked up, no matter how much you believed it when they said it. This intolerance mainly hurts yourself, you’re policing and denying your own personality. People tend to treat others as they treat themself. Think bout how you treat yourself OP!

Some opinions are wrong. Racism is an opinion, for example. So is homophobia, sexism, general bigotry

Anonymous replying to -> #6 2w

Yeah except diff ppl classify opinions into these categories differently anyway it’s not a catch all. And again theyre wrong to you not everyone. That’s just what opinions means. And the opinion which one gets an ick from in this post is not wrong just cuz u dont like it

So if someone’s opinion is that throwing babies out windows is okay, would that then make throwing babies out windows okay?

Obviously not to us civilized ppl and you can make a whole debate with the killing babies point but there are some horrible ppl in the world such as Africa where they molest babies bc they believe it gets of their std’s. We find this immoral and disgusting but they don’t. Ur getting more into Morality as opposed to opinion

Bare with me here, homophobia *also* causes harm. You can’t just say “it’s my opinion!!!!!!!” and be absolved. Many would agree that racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, etc are morally wrong, and it’s been proven that they lead to physical and mental harm, so what argument do you really have?
