You can have different chromosomes than your genitalia suggests, you can be born missing organs or with mixed organs, you can go through opposite sex puberty, you can do things like grow boobs on e or a beard and some more tmi things on t.

The difference is “female” is a sex and “woman” is a gender identity. Sex is determined by chromosome combination, NOT genitalia. There can be many chromosome combinations. XX, XY, XXY, XXXY, XXXX, the list goes on. Someone who has, say XXXX, may not be female but can identify as a woman because sex and gender are not the same.
