I get where you’re coming from in regards to the importance of ensuring children are raised in safe environments but there are serious ethical complications to this idea and many possible loopholes that could result in discrimination against certain communities. Think eugenics because that is basically what you’re arguing for
Idk if you noticed but children can be made by accident. Children can be made with ill intentions in mind for once they're born such as trafficking. Children can also still be abused in the adoption or foster system, but it is less likely due to the processes parents have to go through and routinely especially nowadays.
umm, it starts with education. If people want to have kids, they should at least be able to prove they can care for them. Many countries have these institutions, while there are problems—particularly cultural and social differences makes people targets—that’s why you have nuanced and carefully trained professionals who are social workers who help direct people who are deemed unfit to get help so they can eventually get their kids or the ability to have kids worked out. Sure it’s complex
but we only assume it’s ethically bad by our standards. Those can, and will change. We should give everyone the chance to have kids, but you should also understand that the possibility that someone will step in. With that, we need to rebuild our foster/adoption system, encourage ppl who want kids to give a kid who is already alive a good life and prepare for the role. We as a society need to more educated and involved for these things to be done—realistically. But ofc it’ll prolly never happen
bro fr. tho, we should move that incentive to men focus instead of woman. make men take bc/have a reversible vasectomy when they reach 15. and then when they decide they want kids, they have to go to a clinic with their partner and prove they can emotionally support a child. I don’t think money should have that much of a say, but it should be considered—mandatory financial counseling
