I’m so serious. More often than not the top couple comments on a Reddit post is a multi paragraph and articulate answer. If I see a video of a frog turning blue on Reddit the top comment is often someone with some expertise in frogs explaining what kind of frog it is, why they turn blue, and what the physiological mechanism is. On TikTok the top comments are all variations on whatever insular joke is going around at the time, on instagram the comments have somehow found a way to be homophobic
