Everyone’s hating when I’m paying 5k per year, everyone’s saying it won’t guarantee you a job when it literally could, instead of sitting on ur ass drinking and going to fkin retro try and make some money talk to ur professors, network, meet new people. This can guarantee you a job if you do what it takes, start something new there’s one million ways to make money but you decide to waste time and drink ya asses off
You’re really screwed if your upper middle class (unless you’ve gotten a ton of scholarships)😔 like my parents aren’t paying, so I’m stuck paying everything. I don’t get any financial aid at all because my parents make tooooo much, but where does that money go? BILLS. LIFE. Not my college because they have their own student loans etc. my parents wouldn’t even co-sign a loan for me because one is already cosigned for my sister and my other one has bad credit. I had to get my grandpa to co-sign.
I am VERY lucky I could even get to go. We got denied from multiple loans, and yes I could’ve gone to a different school that was cheaper, but the loan situation would’ve been the same. My grandparents are well off but still aren’t paying for my school because that’s my responsibility, and we got denied from loans because of his age. It’s crazy the amount of money and work it takes just to get an education. In going for nursing and I’m gonna have a shit ton of loans which I STILL will not even
Make the amount that would help me get pay of loans before the interest is built up like crazy. So anyway. Anyone who gets to go to college for free should be thankful that it’s free for them. Because others are not in the same situation (sorry if it’s a bad reason it’s free… but yk😔
I was in a similar situation going into college and then I lost all of my financial aid the first semester. I went from full time to part time which took every penny of my financial aid away. I ended up appealing and taking a break to build my credit and save up money to take out a loan myself without depending on any1 else. The struggle of money stress while going to school/work can affect your grades and performance - you can fail very easily from slacking. We all move at different paces.
that’s like saying a lawyer doesn’t need to learn about precedent court cases or federal and state statues. you need to know the body and how it functions before you do anything with them. just like you need to know the laws before you learn how to defend/represent someone as a lawyer
You’re not always guaranteed a phone for a quick search. You also learn the basic English Language Arts and Reading Skills in elementary-high school and just apply them formally in college. That means common sense has been free for a while and you neglected to care the whole time. Don’t blame college for that😂
Yikes. Takes like this one is exactly why Americans are so stupid and ignorant. Saying there’s no reason for you to need to learn English or history is precisely how we ended up with who’s in office. You should be educated if you want to be a well rounded person and not ignorant about the world around you. English and history are BASIC things that everyone should know without question. 🤦🏾♀️
