God loves everyone but in the end when a person comes to face to God at the end of there life he will judge fairly, it’s is in the bible not to be gay, Leviticus 20 verse 13 “ “ ‘If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads. So even though you might say ohh Jesus ate dinner with the outcasts yes he did but to change there life towards Jesus and keep sinning,

boy stfu 😭 trying to apply the Bible to modern society is a stupid prospect, in the same book that says “love the sinner” it also says a farmer should be stoned for planting two crops next to one another.

it would be really beneficial to actually learn the bible if you are going to be speaking on it. leviticus 19:19 (the plant thing) is symbolism for not mixing jew and gentile (christian and worldly person) and no where does it say they should be stoned. next the bible does not state to love the sinner, it says in ephesians 5:11 to take no part in sin, but call it out. emphasizing that letting people live in sin is not love. next the bible warns not to hang around people who do evil

Me when I don’t understand laws meant for the civil and ceremonial law for Jews in the Old Testament vs moral law that never changes in the bible

no i don’t understand😭😭 i am an atheist bro i also don’t understand justifying hate and cruelty based off a book written thousands of years ago. when there is genuinely zero proof of a god existing. its like santa for adults jesus christ

It doesn’t justify hate I agree with you. Don’t forget you believe in the miracle of the big bang that came from literally nothing.

okay so the big bang did not come from nothing. so basically the whole universe was just super hot and condensed into a teeny space and then expanded and cooled super quickly, and is still expanding and cooling

if you are interested in how life was created just from different chemicals you should look into the miller-urey experiment it is so interesting and learning about it solidified for me that religion is not real. if you think it helps you live your life and wanna believe it then go ahead, but you cannot act like a book that has been proven false time and again is justification to judge other people for not following its arbitrary rules

What caused the super hot teeny space.

I don’t think the bible is against evolution.

okay so basically there was no space or time before the big bang so the question doesn’t really make sense. but it def happened! some special telescopes can still see the afterglow from it!! since when you look into space you are seeing things as they were millions of years ago since they are so far away that it takes the light that long to reach us

i mean it is proven though that god did not create life it just came from water and ammonia and hydrogen and methane

some things with like quantum physics are just random and don’t have a cause, which sounds like a dumb answer but it happens with lots of other things too. it’s just the way that the universe works

So nothing created this infinitely hot density? It was just there and exploded? Just answer that part. And also I don’t disagree the big bang happened, google who had the idea of the big bang

Yeah a lot of Christian’s don’t believe God just spawned people out of nowhere a lot believe in evolution as a sense of how God created people

So you don’t know

Anonymous replying to -> #4 28w

we don’t know that yet but there are theories like the big bounce. but other than that the “before” of it is difficult to comprehend cuz time didn’t exist yk? like from my understanding outside of other theories it was just “always” there but there’s no time frame for always or an answer what “created” that because time and space didn’t exist then and it was just randomness with particles

so you guys are just changing what you believe as you get actual scientific answers that don’t align with the bible?

the bible doesn’t support evolution! so by that logic you can change your beliefs to support and love gay people because there are also scientific explanations for that!

The bible doesn’t deny evolution. The bible is highly metaphorical especially in the early books. You could google the Catholic Church’s position on evolution. That’s also a false equivalency.

Then you essentially believe in a miracle that you can’t understand

It’s not changing beliefs. It’s just understanding the process of how God created everything. Like I told you a second ago a Catholic priest proposed the big bang. Obviously that wouldn’t be against the Bible if he proposed it

it’s not “believing” in it. like it is scientific fact that it happened. we don’t fully understand how the brain works, does that mean it’s not there? no! there is genuinely zero proof of god existing. we just aren’t caught up on all the science yet and it’s more comforting to believe that everything has a purpose and a plan. it’s like ancient greeks thinking that their gods were mad when the weather was bad. they just didn’t know what was going on scientifically yet
