The majority of people on the Titanic (with the exception being service staff) were extremely wealthy people. The Titanic was the largest and most luxurious ship for the time

That may be but i don’t think just because it’s a majority people are gonna celebrate. When people found out that guy’s son wasn’t even supposed to be in the ocean gate sub to begin with there was simmering rage. I saw countless TikToks of upset people but to your point it’s not unbelievable that there would be some that go the “sacrifice we’re willing to make” route
