The system is so fucked honestly. My family has been paying taxes for 7 years before we got our permanent residence. I have been paying SOCIAL SECURITY TAXES since I started working. I am not eligible for social security and likely never will… Immigrants give so much to this country, documented or not but ignorance is a choice. Btw that means I’ve paid more taxes than the billionaire president of the fucking country

26. I worked full time while getting my associates, then took a break and worked 3 jobs 7 days a week for 3 years to save to buy a new car and completely pay for my bachelors without debt. No info about my life changes the fact that many immigrants are net negative tax payers.

In 2016 and 2017. Donald Trump paid $750 in taxes. He then sued the IRS for $10million because a 3rd party system leaked that info. You are so brainwashed to believe that you and I are so different that it’s actually crazy but it’s not your fault, I blame the propaganda. You and I will never get social security. WE are paying taxes that bail out mega corporations who buy all the single family housing and price US out of the market. WE will never be billionaires since WE weren’t born into it. And I can say all that without even knowing who you are bc WE are so much more alike than you will ever be to them.
