I mean he outright expresses indifference to the deaths of children during schoolshootings. The wife and children’s suffering and the possible future consequences this may set in motion are the ONLY bad things about this situation and NOTHING ELSE.

this is a good way to put it. I just hope the administration learns from this event. unfortunately the right wing will probably just use him as a scapegoat and call him a martyr and a “family man”.
