I’m will hold my breath until the hostages are returned home but for the first time in a long time I’m hopeful for their return and an end to the fighting.

Didn’t Israeli troops just bomb parts of Gaza a few hours ago?

They fired Thursday night yes. Then today netanyahu’s office said Israeli military would be moving to new deployment lines by Saturday morning and then Hamas and Israel will have 72 hours to release hostages/ send aid in. Sometime in that 72 hours an official ceasefire deal will be agreed upon but the actual ceasefire and military pullback won’t actually happen till hostages are returned. If all goes well, there will be ceasefire, IDF pulled back, and hostages released by Tuesday.

Rn there are peace talks happening in Ramallah with the PLO president and Israeli and Palestinian peace activists, and peace talks between Hamas and Israeli leaders to finalize a list of prisoners for Israel to release and because there are a lot of demands Israel does not want to compromise on that Hamas does not like (ex: the disarming of Hamas)
