with that being said, the other mod and i have to make a living and it’s not like yikyak is paying us to moderate. we moderate during our free time. i also suffered a heavy loss earlier this summer and have spent less time on social media whilst trying to process the grief. speaking for myself, i am not going to prioritise the internet over my real life. that’s ridiculous. just became there are people who are chronically online does not mean i, or the other mod, need to be in the same boat.

i understand it is our responsibility to maintain a healthy, positive environment within the community but we also have responsibilities that trump moderating. yikyak has moderators available for the entire application, so if you see something, simply report it. i’ve never had an issue using that readily available function and 9 times out of 10, whatever i report gets removed.

the settler colonies are the largest proponents of cluster munitions and bombs were more in line with Democratic policy on the issue than an arms embargo. in no universe would the U.S. ever drop cluster munitions on Tel Aviv. they would just continue arming a fellow settler colony

no, that wouldn’t happen, but expressing the desire for it to happen and for thousands upon thousands of civilian casualties (including non-jews) is insanely antisemitic and overall abhorrent.

it is still antisemitic to have a desire to just kill jews, believe it or not. it’s the equivalent of bombing a synagogue in the united states or anywhere else where casualties will primarily be jewish but include non-jewish parties as well.

such a shame, i harbor no ill will towards Jewish peoples, they are not the issue. it’s the expansion of colonialism that is the problem. Jewish peoples live all over the world, Palestine one of them. much of the violence is colonial in its nature. what is best for all is a singular secular state that recognizes Palestinian right to their land without separate legal privileges. like with the ending of Apartheid in SA, many settlers up and left once the privileges dried out

yeah, so you’re clearly unaware of the history behind the singular secular state which was proposed by jews prior to israel becoming a state. jews proposed a state named “palestine” and for all living in the land to be freed of british colonialism. in turn, pogroms happened against the jews. a two state solution would be best for both parties, with governments that prioritise long-term peace between both nations.
