Jewish on Yik Yak | I’m having a dilemma. I identify as left wing, in the middle of the left wing spectrum. But I follow this Jewish activist page who is obviously conservative. There’s been numerous posts I don’t like. I like some of the Jewish content tho. Should I dip?

I’m having a dilemma. I identify as left wing, in the middle of the left wing spectrum. But I follow this Jewish activist page who is obviously conservative. There’s been numerous posts I don’t like. I like some of the Jewish content tho. Should I dip?

Depends on if the content you don’t like is just a matter of personal opinion or is the creator is saying problematic things?

It depends imo on whether there are other places to get the same content as the stuff you’d like. If you do follow them through, I’d encourage you to stay vigilant and make extra sure to think critically about what they’re saying, they may have some more subtle propaganda outside of the more obviously objectionable stuff that most people might miss at first glance

Also, like, I follow JIMENA and I strongly disagree with like 90% of their political takes because every now and then they do post a take I like and some archival pictures and synagogues and stuff (and I have some family members who follow their kind of politics and I like being aware at some of the kinds of talking points they’re seeing so I can recognize them)
