I hate that the left refuses to acknowledge the antisemitism on their end. Refuse to acknowledge the antisemitic nazi ideology a lot of them have. Zero accountability whatsoever.

Both sides refuse to acknowledge their antisemitism. Nick Fuentes dined with Trump just a few years ago

it’s not like the right acknowledges it either though? antisemitism is unfortunately pretty universal it’s not exactly a leftist issue

Antisemitism is bad no matter who does it. But except for Strasserite/Larouchite/Nazbol types (which are incredibly rare in real life mind you) there are no Nazis on the left.

There is antisemitism on the left, absolutely, there is not “Nazi ideology” on the left, Nazi ideology is explicitly far-right and fascist, it’d be difficult to get much further from being on the left then that

For anyone who thinks differently please, point to an example that isn’t like one random person on social media if anything resembling that. Not all antisemitism is nazis, the Nazis antisemitism was part of a broader ethnonationalist ideology of racial hierarchy. Can someone take part in some left social spaces and identity themselves as left while being a neonazi? Sure, but again these are just fundamentally different things. Nazi ideology is about a lot more than just antisemitism..

I mean Elon Musk did a Nazi salute at the inauguration and they all defended him in that and then Steve Bannon did one not long after, it’s blatant

That being said. The IDF was founded through a merger of terrorist organizations, one of which was explicitly Nazbol in outlook. Just some food for thought.

Leftists can be Nazis… bc in leftists support of Palestine they have adopted to Palestinian authority’s antisemitic Nazism rhetoric. Accepting this rhetoric as truth and regurgitate it verbally and violently.

Believing Israel shouldn’t exist is not antisemitic but okay. Reread what I said

Yes it is. Criticising its government is not antisemitic but saying it doesn’t have a right to exist is antisemitic

According to that logic would it not be a racist thing to say Palestine doesn’t have a right to exist. It would. Denying Jewish sovereignty is antisemitic

I mean Palestine doesn’t exist as a state though. Palestinians have a right to exist however, just as Jewish people do. But Israel endangers both.

You’re right, but I don’t EXPECT the right to give a shit. I expect the left to care about bigotry.

The people of Israel have a right to exist, as do all people; the country of Israel does not have a right to exist, nor does any other country

Is there Nazism proper on the left? No, because Nazism is a specific right-wing political party. What there IS is a growing amount of Nazi-esque rhetoric parroted on the left that concerningly is not called out nearly as often as it should be. And it’s not JUST about antisemitism either. I’ve also seen a worrying amount of ableist and even eugenicist thought and rhetoric circulating in leftist spaces. I say all this as a disabled Jew who is a very much myself a leftist. We need to do better.

Fundamentally I agree with you that no state has an inherent “right” to exist. But seeing as Israel DOES exist, the idea that it can be destroyed w/o horrifying fallout to Jewish communities is naive and not a pragmatic goal for anyone who is genuinely interested in peace and security for both Palestinians AND Jews and well as all other minorities in the region (Samaritans, Druze, etc).

It depends a lot on how it stopped “existing,” there are some ways that could happen I would support and others I would strongly oppose, for me to support it there would have to be some structure in its place that would ensure safety for all the ethnic and religious groups of the region My preference would
