okay look here is the thing. ashkis know a lot of ashki food is mot great. we were poor for literally millennia. it was the tastiest most nourishing thing our ancestors could figure out how to make out of european scraps. is it kinda objectively nasty? yes. is it also a symbol of inter generational love, care, and resilience? yes. in no way does p’tcha objectively hold a candle to shakshuka but it’s comfort food and we will defend it
