This is super random but there’s this guy that long story short I think is pretending to be Jewish. I think he has a crush on me and is kinda just rolling with it. Today I asked him if his father is conservative and he said “no he’s a liberal!” And I was

like no I mean Jewish conservative. He said “no he’s against Israel” and I was like “uh no I mean like is he conservative or reform” and he said “oh he’s all for political reform” lol. Do you think it’s possible for a Jewish person, one that claims he celebrates the holidays, to have 0 clue conservative and Reform Judaism is

That’s what I thought but also me saying he’s faking it is a big claim. This isn’t the only reason but it definitely stood out

I feel like even if you didn’t celebrate you’d know what conservative and reform is. Only a non Jewish person wouldn’t know that

Yeah. Although, if only his father is Jewish, there is a chance he did not get any Jewish education.

Okay but if he celebrates the holidays surely he’d know enough to know that? I guess that’s pretty broad, it could be just like one or two things and it could be just like having apples and honey or latkes or something

Eh yeah maybe but I feel like that’s pretty basic. Like at least he’s heard of it especially if he celebrates

I doubt a christian wouldn’t know what a Lutheran or a Baptist is. Like maybe they can’t say specific differences but they at least have heard the denomination. I know that’s a little different but I still feel like it’s close to impossible to celebrate something your whole life and never once heard those terms

dude, sociopaths don’t always have a rhyme or reason. where we live is heavily jewish. he probably thought it was an easy way to get attention from people.

There’s some motivation. It’s usually to get some form of advantage, social approval or climb the social ladder. She’s not just going to randomly lie and say he is Hindu if it doesn’t benefit him in anyway. There has to be some form of reasoning that he has behind it. Either he thinks it gained him sympathy, social credit, attention, etc. You literally answered my question while saying there’s no reason lol

he never gave a reason, so we don’t know but again, sociopaths do things at times without proper rhyme or reason behind it. he gained absolutely nothing from what he did. he is in prison though. sociopaths tend to be motivated by certain desires or feelings, like boredom or craving attention, but it does not give a true reasoning. we don’t know why he targeted the jewish community, he could have targeted many others in the area as there is a large muslim community here as well.
