Hey folks, just for shits and giggles, go read the 2026 JVP Hagada, and count how many times it mentions Egypt versus Palestine/Gaza.

Not all of us are pro colonialism and imperialism. Some of us like to be critical thinkers and apply our values to current events. I think Zionists weaponize Judaism to fit their political agenda more than anyone else

It’s not Jewish. It reminds me of the time they copy pasted Hebrew using an English keyboard and it came out backward

Hebrew has been written the same way for thousands of years? What? I’m genuinely confused by this comment. What are you even angry about?

No it literally doesn’t. It sounds like you are asking if how Hebrew is written is up to interpretation? That makes no sense. It’s a language that’s written a certain way. Would you read English like hsilgnE?

Ok I’ll rephrase that for ESL’rs. Why is it not jewish? Are you the pope of the Jews? Why do you get to decide that?

Any practicing Jew writing Hebrew especially for a Seder plate would know the direction Hebrew is written. Also Jews don’t have a pope. We have hundreds of years of tradition that any practicing Jew would know.

Most American Jews don’t read or speak Hebrew. And yes you finally understood the question. We don’t have a pope so you don’t get to decide what is and isn’t Jewish just cause you disagree with their political perspective

The majority of American Jews don’t speak modern Hebrew, but in no way do the majority not practice Judaism with Hebrew prayers or readings of the Torah in Hebrew. All that image with the backwards Hebrew shows me is someone who has no understanding of Passover or Hebrew or Judaism, decided to google some words and smack it on a sheet to look more Jewish. It’s dumb. Defending the co opting of Jewish culture to makes political point is dumb.

Most American Jews that actually observe Jewish customs have at least a basic understanding of the language. It doesn’t take a genius to understand how these people are trying to pervert Jewish customs to adhere to their agenda.

If people don’t commit to the full practice, why invoke imagery of the practice to make a political statement.

Passover is about the LAND of Israel, you know, the place Jews are from. Why are you so desperately trying to make it about the modern state of Israel? Is that just your coping mechanism when it comes to confronting the fact that Jews are native to that land?

So close, the belief in one G-d, The Lord of Hosts, G-d of Israel, The Holy One, Blessed be He, is not idolatry, but actually the core tenant of the faith
