Ah yes the nation constantly under attack by terror groups should disarm and let itself be attacked. If Israel disarmed, Hamas and Hezbollah would massacre Israelis, considering every war Israel had in Gaza and Lebanon were started by those 2, Israel isn’t the one that needs to disarm

Israel has had wars in Gaza and Lebanon since before there was a Hamas or a Hezbollah.. Hezbollah was founded in the first place in response to the Israeli invasion in 1982 (the same invasion during which Israel bombed Beirut’s last synagogue)

The PLO started the 1982 conflict, Hezbollah came later

I mean, the like more immediate prompt of it was an attack in violation of the 1981 ceasefire that’d been in place by some Palestinian militants who were technically part of the PLO, but they were a dissenting faction and were arrested with some executed by the PLO for doing so, which at the time was unprecedented in PLO internal disputes..

It is considerably more complicated than that though, as before the 1981 ceasefire there had been back and forth attacks for years, and this was during the Lebanese Civil War, in which Israel had been backing and training the militants of the Philangist Party, a Christian Nationalist party in Lebanon at the time that wanted to ethnically cleanse all Palestinian refugees from the country
