I get your point, but the parallels are beyond eerie. H****r yemach shemo, didn’t start with death camps, he started with concentration camps which primarily targeted migrants and “criminals” real or labelled. It is better to make the comparisons and for the parallel not to pan out that way, than to stay quiet and only realize after it’s too late.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: it’s all marketing. They want to create pathos with audiences so they compare it to the most heinous and well constructed act of genocide to emphasize their point and hit home. The problem with that is when you use it too often it loses its meaning, which creates problems for Jews and for people trying to create action
