This goes both ways. Blaming Israel for what’s happening in Palestine makes sense. Blaming Israel for Egypt losing is ridiculous and likely rooted in antisemitism

People need to stop using age old antisemitic tropes as their criticism. Implying Israel somehow manipulated the results of the games just plays into the same trope as “Jews run all the media”. It’s the same antisemitism just “acceptable” now because they said Israel instead of Jew. Criticize Israel by calling out their government. Not be because you stubbed your toe.

Well I’m referring to FIFA and the ridiculousness of blaming Israel for the match of a game and its roots in antisemitic tropes. That is the topic I’m discussing. It is not pointing out a microcosm by attributing your dislike of one subject onto a totally unrelated subject.
