I mean this in the most innocent way possible, but when did policing Jewishness become such an issue? We historically are extremely strict on the issue and for real reason. So long as it’s based in Halacha and not opinion, what’s really the issue here?

A lot of people who are not Jewish but have been told they are get really offended when you point out they're not Jewish

I’ve only seen it be an issue around who is included in a Minyan. Assuming that’s been true since they started requiring 10 “Jews it’s a mitzvah for”
