I just got attacked in a comment section bc I had a “bring them home” in my bio while my comment was unrelated to it. Proceeded to call me heartless, immoral, and pro gen**ide. No way I’m the heartless one for wanting civilians released from captivity.

Painting us as villains is the goal. The big lie to make hating us the norm.

I can’t see what #2 is commenting but I know it’s a shitty take

It’s just an interesting thing to focus on considering what’s happening to the Palestinians in the guise of “bringing them home”

Two things can be wrong at once. You don’t have to discredit one travesty to validate another.

I just never hear ppl who hyper focus on the Israeli hostages ever talk about what’s happening to Palestinians

Who said I’m hyper focused bc of two posts? Also I’ve never heard of the pro Palestine crowd ever talk about the hostages positively.

If you have it in your bio and nothing about Palestinians, that’s a reasonable conclusion. And I have. We just think only talking about the hostages considering what’s happening to Palestinians is wrong. And place the blame mostly with Israel

I am allowed to be concerned for the Israeli hostages. Both sides deserve to be heard and spoken of. I’m not thinking solely of the hostages either. It’s not mostly Israel’s fault, Hamas abducted them and is keeping them prisoner. It is mostly Hamas fault.

I just think a genocide should be more of the focus and doing everything to stop it… Who has almost all the power and leverage in this situation?

Saying that the hostages shouldn’t be the focus and Palestinians should be. I disagree.. I believe BOTH parties deserve to be heard, spoken of, and resolved

Again, we can focus on 2 things simultaneously. Hamas has the leverage, aka the hostages, they’re the ones prolonging this war by refusing to release them.

Israel has taken countless hostages. Not saying I endorse anything but that’s why Hamas took hostages. To get their hostages back I just think it’s wrong to prioritize a handful of people that the media already takes the time and consideration to advocate for all the time over millions being ethnically cleansed from their home and the tens of thousands of people being murdered. of which the media is largely silent on. So it’s an interesting choice what you focus on

If I had one slogan about what’s happening the past two years, it wouldn’t be “bring them home”. It’d be “end the genocide now”. So ppl will notice what you choose to focus your time and energy on considering the big picture

But the media already hyper focuses on the hostages is my point. When the Palestinians are the ones going thru a genocide and there isn’t nearly as much advocacy for them… I believe in bringing light to the voices silenced the most and who need the most advocacy…

you talk a little too much like this one chick at my school who i’m pretty sure got kicked out. idk what the issue is with advocating for all civilians and innocent people. get off your high horse and take your faux righteousness somewhere else.
