It doesn’t matter how many times people try to say Zionism is just the existence of Israel as a state, that’s just fundamentally not what it is in practice. Besides the fact that Theodore Herzl literally classified it as a colonial movement, Zionism in practice is causing a genocide. The same way the US has committed horrible atrocities and slaughter in the name of keeping democracy or finding WMDs or whatever false pretense they choose at any given time

I’m glad fewer of us want to be called Zionist but it’s honestly saddening that of all the people in the world some of us as Jews who’ve been victimized so many times would not see or admit the atrocities that Israel is committing

then what would you call the majority of Jews as described in this article, who want Israel to exist and feel connected to it but are also highly critical of its actions and structure?

zionists! we shouldn’t have to use different words just cause antisemites want to change the definitions!! personally, i am a zionist. i believe jews have a right to live in our ancestral homeland. but i also hate bibi and the actions of the israeli government. you can be both. zionism =/= kahanism
