A pattern I’ve noticed is that whenever there’s an antisemitic hate crime, the news always leaves out certain details. Such as saying Jews were targeted in an act of antisemitism. How can yall report this and not include that?

“Allegedly, may be, potentially”. Or “people attacked”, “a hate crime”. Never specific language

I just read an NPR article about it that literally did not say the words “Jew” or “Jewish” even once

They claim it is because they want to “potentially” remain “neutral” my ass

I’m frustrated with this too, the media is responsible for everything being blown out into proportion, exaggerating, reporting falsely because they want to be first, and then trying to downplay things if they don’t fit the right narrative

They have to say allegedly and stuff for legal and journalistic standards reasons, a newspaper can’t say something was the motive unless it’s an opinion piece or they’re saying that someone said that, not that it’s the case This is how to works with all hate crimes, not just the ones against us
