Love that song!

The band is three Yemenite Israeli sisters and the song is about how Yemenite Jews struggled when they first fled to Israel. One lyric that really struck me was “Don’t let them take your daughter” as a reference to the Yemenite Children Affair. Just. Aghhhh the Refugee Experience I’m not Yemenite but it hit home because my parents were Soviet refugees to the US and struggled to learn the language and assimilate into the local Jewish communities
