the point is to talk about development and how these countries developed. Western countries developed their societies on the back of slavery and colonization and continued Neo-colonial extraction to this day . So let’s compare that to socialist countries development

The USSR was evil and oppressed all non-Russian minorities, and Venezuela and Cuba are quite literally falling apart under communism, Vietnam adopted Capitalist reforms, and China adopted Capitalist reform while repressing all Non-Han Chinese minorities, there are no successful African communist countries. All of them are literal shitholes with an HDI below .5. Any other examples?

The theory being that a dictatorship of the proletariat in most of these cases can guide the country to a more equitable outcomes and an internationalist future
