seeing the other commenter pmo. as a black kpop listener i’ll accept their apology but will not listen to them or forgive what they did. they knew what they were doing was wrong and still continued to play into it. i’m tired of hearing people say “forgive them” or “i forgive them”. if you’re not black then what are you forgiving? that’s our decision to forgive. it’s okay to also feel some type of way seeing them mock culture but if you aren’t black is not your place to tell us to forgive them.
and im glad you’re better than them but that’s not my point, my point is that people can learn and grow from fuckups and the holier than thou bit doesn’t help people become better. do you want people who have acted horribly to be able to become kinder and better members of society, or discourage that? just if you fuck up, you’re done forever? I think people can get better from nearly anything personally
How many more times are they gonna disrespect the black community and give shitty pr apologies/empty promises to change before y’all realize you’re being played? After saying the n-word they should’ve been stood up straight, on their BEST behavior. A million apologies or not they had their chance and said the same thing they said this time.
