 just received two rejections back to back from job applications i submitted months ago and it’s actually so hard not to feel like a failure 2 months post-grad but at least i see ateez in less than a month so it could always be worse

How I feel. I’ve applied to well over 100 jobs and almost never hear back and on the rare occasion I do it’s a rejection. I saw stray kids tho

so real and its especially worse when i graduated with honors and relevant work experience and a TAship and good references 🙃 like i get that its competitive but my peers immediately got good jobs straight out of school and its hard not to compare

microbiology ! the job outlook for it is good but federal funding cuts and politics has stopped a lot of hiring in pharma and healthcare so everything is so much more competitive

my coworkers in the lab i worked at were also micro majors and got hired pretty quickly after graduating so i feel bummed out but they had some more specialized biotech training that i didnt get the chance to do so they have an edge :(
