They didn’t say anything but I’m not confident they’ll be back. It’s Philadelphia btw, which is between DC and NYC — the Kpop industry basically sees us as a pit stop. The crowd was great but it was a Tuesday show and there had been a blizzard literally the day before so it didn’t totally sell out (I’d estimate 85-90% capacity which is still pretty good). I don’t think my city was ever super high priory to begin with so I’m skeptical that they’ll come back 😭
High energy is a big boost and Philly was a good crowd. But returning to a location is definitely more of a monetary decision. Since your shows sold out and Charlotte is further away from other stops, the chances of them returning there are a lot higher. Philly didn’t totally sell out and we’re between two massive stops, so concert planners might think we’re not worth coming back to and just add extra days in NYC and DC so that people from my area elect to travel instead.
It’s all worth noting that JYPE is a Korean company… they don’t have a great understanding of American geography or how markets are split up here. Based on how this tour was organized it’s pretty obvious whoever set it up is an idiot (not that the show itself is bad — it’s awesome!!! But the packed schedule and quick turnaround is nuts). Philly, for example, is a huge market but a lot of international folks probably don’t realize that.
It sucks because I don’t think we were given a great chance, ain’t nobody going to concerts on a Tuesday, especially since they just had tons of dates in NYC and DC 😭 But anyways I wouldn’t worry too much about them not coming back to NC. The videos I saw showed a big crowd that was really energized — yall showed up and did everything right so your chances are good
