you're absolutely right about this, BTS is part of a whole ass UNICEF anti-violence campaign but they're working with a convicted woman beater. Music business is tough, they can't control who owns them but they have the power to say no to Chris Brown.

I say this as someone who works as a stagehand, Livenation owns all our asses in this industry and I know damn well what the repercussions of a blacklist are. Big name headliner artists like BTS have the power to refuse to work with known violent misogynists. If they won't even do that for fear of their label, they don't have the backbone to call themselves anti-violence.

Exhibit A: Green Day's opener band during a 90s tour, Pansy Division, was openly gay in a time without anti discrimination laws. Multiple venues threatened to refuse to allow Green Day to perform unless they did so without Pansy Division. Green Day refused to tour without them and the venues backed down.

I need yall to understand that it takes doing something that makes Livenation either criminally culpable or at risk for huge monetary losses to get them to fire a band. Speaking in support of Palestine or refusing to work with Chris Brown do not meet that criteria. BTS absolutely could have refused and they chose not to.

Yeah what i'm seeing is they attended his concert and took photos with him. Certainly enough support to justify the kind of backlash they're getting over it even if they haven't directly worked with him. Attending his concert was totally voluntary on their part

They attended a concert at the same venue they performed at ten days later, it implies to me it was either through some kind of professional relationship with either the venue or Chris Brown's artist management. Artists typically aren't around the venue for ten days before a show and all, either they bought tickets or it's business related. But regardless it shows a support for him that I'm personally not comfortable with.

I just did a little digging and it seems as if they were invited to the concert by Usher, not CB. Didn’t Usher work with Jungkook? Regardless, not a great look
