kinda starting to feel uncomfortable about supporting bts at this point ngl; the coke and mcdonalds thing had me iffy, but hanging out with charlie puth who’s a sexual predator and rape apologist on top of being a zionist makes me feel icky about them :/

and i say this as someone who has loved them for a long time !! taehyung was my first real bias, but it just kinda feels like now they’ve gotten so big they’ve strayed away from the core messages and values they promoted in the past. idk but im kinda sad about it tbh

Bc unfortunately in the context of kpop idols, it’s something that every single idol has had an association w (bds list brands) since oct 2023. This time army’s on twt have been moving for it to not be a thing anymore in a less “hate train” way

They had their core messages represented in BE, but they haven’t released an album since then because — military. Plenty of their solo work did have the same core, meaningful, thoughtful, deep messages. Let’s see what their new music is like.

sure i can definitely agree with that but what’s the point of saying something in your music but representing otherwise in your actions? i hope i feel different when they release new stuff !

Making a lot of assumptions. What if - they bought the song from Puth, and he stopped by the studio to see how they modified it or are leveraging it (BTS always makes songs the get from others sound more BTS), what if he’s in the same studio recording his stuff and drops by…?

what assumptions? buying a song from a predator IS supporting him, and posting him on your story is amplifying that support publicly, or at least that’s how i see it.

like if they had quietly bought a song without posting them rubbing shoulders and being friendly i feel like even that would be different. idk maybe im just sensitive !

Oh boy. Let’s just say for the sake of discussion, they bought it years ago. Before they entered the military and all the info about 🗑️ Pugh came out. Should they just then throw it away, waste the money? I’m not making excuses, just saying that we have zero idea of the details.

ehhh idk i feel like that’s making more assumptions than what i said tbh. also puth has been a predator for YEARRRRS and his support of dr luke has been long documented. you’re free to believe what you want but idk if i have it in me to make up scenarios to give them the benefit of the doubt
