its kinda messed up, but, kpop is meant to sell you these groups of incredibly attractive people, so its no surprise being exposed to such visually gorgeous people may make you really open your eyes and realize your attraction to the same gender. im sure kpop caused quite a few queer awakenings.

^^true!! I feel like a good amount of queer awakenings happen through the media AND the combo of kpop spaces online having a lot of queer communities helps a lot- cause (to me at least!) irl can feel more about “conforming” than understanding and embracing ur sexuality!
