Is this a safe space to say this is Ateez’s weakest comeback? As an Atiny since SMN, I just feel like it’s incredibly rushed. Thematically it doesn’t seem to gel, the albums lackluster, weird mixing, etc This isn’t meant to be hate, I’m just sad:(

i’m ngl i don’t know that the songs go together but i do really enjoy each of them individually. i always love ateez’s summery albums so i might just be inclined to like the aesthetics and sound of the songs tho

it’s never wrong to feel how you feel about a comeback, but if it makes you feel any better…when i heard BTS’s Blood, Sweat, and Tears for the first time i was like, “this is a disappointment” but then it grew on me and the world and it ended up being a foothold for them to be what they are now. so just enjoy what you enjoy and the rest will come

I love Lemon Drop but it’s clearly has the same beat as Stray Kids’ Fam.

Eden’s catching these hands (Or chopsticks in my case) for not giving my man lines

Ateez generally has a song in each album that strays from the rest of the concept, which I’ve always seen as a “cooldown” track, I think what I’m more leaning toward is: Ateez has a very distinct sound (their instrumentals are very full, immersive) but I think I’m just not feeling it here:( I love summer concepts though! No hate to that, I think for me a lot of it is the execution

Oh absolutely. I’m thankful for him for giving Ateez a really solid foundation for their music, but he needs to get it together on his line distribution methods bc I’d fully believe it if he was just spinning a really rigged wheel at this point

You can buy packs of beats and the like off of music stores, both groups (and the vast majority of kpop producers) use these packs regularly, it’s an open secret. I think that it isn’t an issue because of this (people have found where the beat came from). Ateez and Skz both have histories of being copied, so I highly doubt Eden/3racha would plagiarize another artist entirely (also Wooyoung. Have you seen his beef with vata. There’s no way he’d allow it)

I think my favorite instance of two songs using the same backing track is SHINEE’s Juliette borrowing (with permission) the backing track from Corbin Bleu’s Deal With It. Rocked my young world.
