Decided to rewatch Steven universe since I just had surgery and I have nothing better to do, and wow I forgot how well this show reads as a trans allegory, this scene alone is a perfect example but there’s so many more

Obviously it’s not as on the nose as it is with Steven since things like pronouns don’t change, but the way it’s handled is very similar to many trans people’s experiences including my own.

Considering that the pink=rose reveal was one of the things that was planned from the very start of the show, it would not surprise me
