My chosen name is like the masculine version of my given name! I picked it both because I know the naming conventions black people do (being as my entire family is black) but I also looked up black baby names and as I scroll online n see black people I pick up their names for better reference!

also something that doesn’t sound stereotypically white, if that makes sense? I don’t want to feed into my internalized racism by choosing something that doesn’t feel like me? Especially since I used to ignore that key part of myself for a long time. Idk how to explain it, but I apologize in advance 🙏

Also I personally love my given name and didn’t want to completely lose it so part of it literally became my chosen name
