I think there’s a good chance at least some of it could be homophobia, but if you’re pfp doesn’t have you in drag I wouldn’t be surprised if some of them assumed you’re a straight guy hitting on them and just don’t open the dm. You’d be surprised how many random men dm you when you’re a girl 😭 do you think you might have any luck with male MUAs?
